Man Chokes, Sexually Assaults Woman In Stuy Town Building: NYPD
A man groped a woman in the elevator of her Gramercy building and choked her when she tried to run, police said.

GRAMERCY, NY — A creep followed a women into her Stuyvesant Town apartment building, groped her in an elevator and choked her when she tried to flee Monday morning, police said.
The 42-year-old victim entered a building on Avenue C near E. 20th Street just after 8 a.m. when the sicko followed her into the building. He cornered the woman in the elevator where he groped and tried to kiss her, cops said.

The victim tried to run off the elevator, but the man pulled the woman into a nearby stairwell, climbed on top of her and choked her until she managed to scare him off with a scream, police said.

Medics transported the woman to Bellevue Hospital where she was treated for minor cuts on her neck.
Cops describe the attacker between 30 and 35 years old, between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9 with a slim build. He wore a dark long-sleeved shirt, dark sneakers with white soles and a baseball hat.
