Naked Robber Ransacks Union Square Restaurant: NYPD

A robber stripped down to his birthday suit before swiping cash and electronics from a bar restaurant near Union Square.

GRAMERCY, NY — A robber turned a classy Gramercy restaurant into a strip joint.

Police are searching for a burglar who snuck into a bar restaurant near Union Square and stripped down to his birthday suit before fleeing with cash and electronics, authorities said.

The brazen thief entered the side door of Adalya restaurant on Irving Place at 7 a.m. on July 5. Once inside the man disrobed and grabbed $600 from the cash register along with an iPad, phone and a company credit card, police said.

He then dressed himself before fleeing the restaurant.

Police describe the suspect as 28 to 35 years old with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, dark-colored shorts and blue sneakers with white socks.
