Gramercy Takes Part in National Night Out Against Crime
NYPD community affairs officers celebrated with community members Tuesday evening while teaching them best safety practices.
If you ever wanted to party with a police officer, you had your chance this week.
New York City's National Night Out Against Crime happens annually on the first Tuesday of August, and Gramercy's Precinct 13 celebrated Aug. 2. It marks a day where community affairs NYPD officers teach communities different best safety practices at local festivals for different precincts.
Precinct 13's Night Out Against Crime event went from 5 to 8 p.m. at the MS 104 playground at 20th St. and Second Avenue on Tuesday evening. There was a caricaturist, balloon animals, bouncey house, free food and, of course, safety demonstrations from officers.
