Subway Pervert Gropes Woman On D Train: NYPD

The quick-thinking victim snapped a photo of her attacker before he bolted from the train, police said.

CHELSEA, NY — Police are on the prowl for a subway pervert who groped a woman on a D train, authorities said Tuesday.

The train had just departed the 23rd Street station on the D line on Sept. 13 at 4 p.m. when 51-year-old Lawrence Cobb allegedly grabbed the victim's buttocks as she took a seat in front of him, police said.

The woman confronted the man and managed to snap a photo of Cobb before he bolted off the train at the 34 Street-Herald Square station.

Police describe Cobb as five-foot-seven, 180 pounds and was last seen wearing a blue long sleeved shirt.
