Trader Joe's Can Hardly Wait to Open in Kips Bay
The grocery store's newest location is opening a whole season ahead of schedule.

New York just can't keep it in its pants for Trader Joe's.
A new TJ's was slated to open on the corner of 32nd Street and Third Avenue in Kips Bay in the fall, but was just expedited to open its doors on Aug. 12, months ahead of schedule. Manhattanites, prepare to pile up those frozen dumplings and chicken nuggets en masse in a TJ tote.
The location where the new TJ's will open used to be a Food Emporium that closed in January 2015. A few months after the Food Emporium's closure, the grocery store chain D'Agostino's shut its doors at East 35th St. and Third Avenue.
