Two People Mowed Down in Kips Bay Crash, FDNY Said

Two pedestrians were struck by a car at Third Avenue and East 31st Street Wednesday evening, FDNY said.

KIPS BAY, NY — Two pedestrians were mowed down by a car in Kips Bay Wednesday evening, FDNY said.

Medics responded to a 911 call on the accident at 5:23 p.m. and arrived to discover two victims lying unresponsive in the street. The individuals were transported to Bellevue Hospital. Their condition is unclear, a fire department spokesman said.

The condition of the driver is unknown and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
