Woman Robbed Of $3,500 At Knifepoint In Union Square: NYPD
The woman, a restaurant employee, was on her way to deposit the restaurant's proceeds at a bank when she was robbed, police said.

UNION SQUARE, NY — A robber stole $3,500 from a restaurant employee at knifepoint this month as the employee walked through Union Square, police said.
The robber remains on the loose, and police released a sketch of him on Wednesday morning.
The NYPD said that on April 16 at about 11:40 a.m., the restaurant employee, a 26-year-old woman, was walking near East 17th Street and Union Square East. The woman was carrying the restaurant's proceeds, $3,500, in a brown paper bag and was on her way to deposit them at a bank, police said.

As she was walking, authorities said the robber approached her from behind and asked for directions. When the woman turned around the robber allegedly displayed his knife and grabbed the bag of money before running away.
The woman was not injured during the robbery, police said.
