Mother And Daughter Found Dead In Gramercy Apartment, Police Say

GRAMERCY, NY — A mother and daughter were found dead in their Gramercy apartment on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The women, aged 70 and 94, were found unconscious inside the apartment at 145 East 16th St., the NYPD said. It's unclear how, or exactly when, the women died. The city's medical examiner will determine what caused their death. Officers found the women while responding to a 911 call at the building at about 2:25 p.m. on Tuesday. Both of the women were believed to live in the apartment together, an NYPD spokesman told Patch.
