Cops Seek Help in Solving North New Hyde Park Robbery

The incident occurred early Monday, police say.

Nassau Police seek the public’s help in identifying and locating the man they say robbed a convenience store in North New Hyde Park early Monday morning.

Detectives say that at 1:35 a.m., a man was working at the Grab and Go at 2062 Lakeville Road when an unknown male entered the store and said he had a gun and demanded money.

No gun was displayed, police said.

The victim complied, and the suspect fled the scene on foot heading east onto Union Boulevard with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

There were no reported injuries, according to police.

The suspect is described as a male, wearing blue jeans a dark colored jacket, white gloves and a dark colored scarf covering his face.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
