GREAT NECK, NY — Arson and fire marshal investigators are looking for clues after a fire swept through two Great Neck apartments. The blaze broke out around 2:45 p.m. Saturday in two apartments above two store fronts on Middle Neck Road, near Beach Road, Nassau County police said.

By the time police officers arrived, both apartments were fully engulfed in flames and both sustained extensive damage.

All residents were out of the apartment at the time and no injuries were reported, police said.

The Great Neck Alert Fire Department extinguished the flames. Four fire apparatus were sent to the apartments along with at least 40 firefighters.
