Great Neck Man Accused Of Driving Drunk With Son In Car

A Great Neck man faces felony DWI charges after police say he drove drunk with his 9-year-old son in the car on Sunday night.

According to authorities, Jose Castillo, 33, was driving a 2001 Hyundai Elandra northbound on Plandome Road, near George Street in Manhasset, when he was pulled over at approximately 10:46 p.m. Police say Castillo was driving his vehicle intoxicated while his young son was in the car.

Castillo was placed under arrest and charged with aggravated DWI, endangering the welfare of a child, DWI, driving while alcohol impaired, unlicensed operator and several other vehicle and traffic law violations. He was arraigned Monday at First District Court in Hempstead.
