Great Neck North 2012 Football Schedule
Blazers move to developmental league, not eligible for postseason play.
football should be competitive, but no matter how well the Blazers play they will not be eligible for postseason play in 2012.
The Blazers will be part of a seven-team developmental league approved in January by Section VIII, Nassau's governing body for high school sports. The league is known as Conference V.
On the plus side, the Blazers will see a rivalry renewed. The battle of Great Neck will take place for the first time since 2004.

A rivalry that began in 1958 with the opening of will be renewed this fall. Great Neck North won the last meeting, 29-14.

Great Neck North went 1-7 a year ago in Conference III, highlighted by a 15-6 win over Roslyn. The Blazers also suffered tough losses to South Side (27-20) and Manhasset (8-0).
