Great Neck Plaza 2nd Annual Music Fest Challenge

The Village of Great Neck Plaza, in collaboration with the Great Neck Plaza Business Improvement District, is proud to present the 2nd Annual Great Neck Plaza Music Challenge – Musical Theatre Edition, taking place on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from 7:00 to 10:00 PM at Firefighters Park, located off of Grace Avenue in the heart of downtown Great Neck Plaza. The rain date for the event is Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

This year’s Music Challenge will shine a spotlight exclusively on the region’s top high school musical theatre talent, with 10 headline high school thespians performing show-stopping numbers from beloved Broadway productions. The evening promises a vibrant celebration of youth, creativity, and the performing arts.
“The response to last year’s inaugural event was incredible, and we’re thrilled to bring the community back together for a night dedicated entirely to musical theatre,” said Mayor Ted Rosen of Great Neck Plaza. “This event gives young performers a well-deserved platform to express their artistry and connect with an enthusiastic audience in a beautiful outdoor setting.”

Selected student performers were invited based on their outstanding performance videos submitted earlier this spring and have been reviewed by a panel of experienced musical theatre professionals.
