GREAT NECK PLAZA, NY — With a blizzard expected to sweep through the Northeast, officials in Great Neck Plaza are urging residents to stay safe and heed their advice:
Travel
If there is a snowstorm this weekend, avoid travel. It will help keep you safe and allow the crews to properly treat and plow the roads.

Parking
Residents with a valid VGNP street permit are advised to park in the Plaza Centre (Village Hall) or Maple Drive parking garages (but only in a permit parking space) to keep the streets open. Cars can remain in the garage for up to 24 hours when there's an accumulation of 4 inches of snow or more, as recorded by the National Weather Service. Vehicles should be out of the garage by 8 a.m. the following day.

Plaza homeowners are urged to park their cars in their driveways to assist crews in the Wyngate and Pearce/Walnut areas.
