Great Neck Woman Accused Of DWI With Child In Car

The woman was arrested on Thursday night.

A Great Neck woman was arrested for DWI while her 6-year-old son was in the car on Thursday night, police say.

According to authorities, Jacqueline Gallo, 37, was pulled over after she passed through a red light and failed to maintain her lane on East Shore Road and Vista Hill Road at 10:31 p.m. During the traffic stop, officers observed that Gallo was intoxicated and her child was seated in a car seat in the vehicle, police say.

She was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI, endangering the welfare of a child, DWI, DWI (BAC+.08 Misd) and multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.

She was taken to a local hospital for a medical condition and will be arraigned when practical.
