Man Embezzled $286K From LI Dentist's Office Over 4 Years: Police

Jeffrey Fernandez, who worked as an office manager for the dental practice, was arrested and charged with grand larceny, police said.

GREAT NECK PLAZA, NY — A Connecticut man is accused of embezzling approximately $286,000 from a dentist's office in Great Neck Plaza where he worked as an office manager, police said.

Jeffrey Fernandez, 34, embezzled funds from January 2020 to July 2024, Nassau police said.

Fernandez changed the business routing account number from the dentist office to his own personal bank account, police said. An investigation led to his arrest on Wednesday morning.

He faces two counts of second-degree grand larceny and criminal possession of a forged instrument, authorities said.

Fernandez was arraigned on Wednesday.
