Their projects span environmental equity, genetic regulation, and AI for early cognitive decline, bringing national recognition and funding back to Great Neck’s science programs and teachers.

• Long Islanders competing for skating spots in Winter Olympics (newsday.com) — Great Neck’s own Jimmy Ma is in 11th place after the men’s short program at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships, vying for one of three Olympic men’s singles spots. Alongside fellow Long Islanders Audrey Shin and ice dancers Oona and Gage Brown, he’ll learn Sunday whether his performance earns a trip to the Milan Cortina Winter Games.
