Pedestrian Killed After Being Hit By Car In Nassau
Police say he was crossing the road early in the morning when he was hit.
LAKE SUCCESS, NY — A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a car while crossing a road in Lake Success early this morning.
According to police, a 67-year-old man was crossing Marcus Avenue near the New Hyde Park Plaza shopping center at 1:17 a.m. when he was hit by a 2020 Jeep.
The man suffered multiple injuries and as rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a doctor at 1:55 a.m. Police have not yet released his name.

The driver, a 43-year-old man, remained at the scene. Police performed a brake and safety check on his car and impounded it.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
