
One person was taken to a local hospital after a two-vehicle crash caused an SUV to overturn at the border of Huntington Station and Melville on Monday morning.
According to fire officials, the crash occurred at the intersection of Route 110 and Schwab Road at 8:30 a.m.
Melville and Huntington Manor firefighters responded to the scene and removed one person from the SUV. That person was then taken to Huntington Hospital by the Melville Rescue Squad to be treated for non-like threatening injuries.

The Melville Fire Department was on the scene with two ambulances, an engine, heavy rescue truck, fire police and paramedic responder. Units were under the direction of Third Assistant Chief Jason Bernfeld.
Huntington Manor Fire Department was on the scene with an engine and heavy rescue truck. Units were under the direction of Third Assistant Chief Jim Glidden, according to PIO Steve Silverman.
