One person suffered injuries after a car crashed into a pizzeria in Melville on Sunday evening.
According to authorities, the car struck the corner of the building of La Focaccia, located on Broad Hollow Road, and shattered a glass panel at 6:40 p.m. The shattered glass injured a woman sitting at a nearby table.
The Melville Fire Department responded to the scene and removed the glass pieces and boarded up in the window with lumber.

The woman was taken to Plainview Hospital by Melville Rescue Squad to be treated for cuts.
About 25 fire and rescue personnel responded to the scene with two ambulances, an engine, heavy rescue truck, tactical support unit and paramedic responder. Units were under the command of Chief Chris Nolan and First Assistant Chief David Kaplan, according to PIO Steve Silverman.
