1 Killed, 4 Hurt In Melville Crash
A driver was killed after he collided with a Mercedes-Benz sprinter van on Thursday morning, police say.

A man was killed in a two-vehicle crash that injured four others in Melville on Thursday morning, police say.
According to authorities, a 28-year-old man was driving a 2000 Subaru Legacy southbound on Walt Whitman Road when he collided with a 2016 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van traveling westbound on Express Drive North at 5:15 a.m.
The driver of the Subaru was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The driver of the Mercedes, 37-year-old Selden resident, and his three passengers suffered minor injuries. They were taken by Melville Rescue to Plainview Hospital to be treated.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
