Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash involving an overturned SUV on Friday morning in Melville.
According to fire officials, the crash occurred on Baylis Road near the entrance to the Huntington Quadrangle at 10 a.m. The driver of the car and the overturned SUV were taken by the Melville Rescue Squad to Plainview Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
The Melville Fire Department responded to the scene with an ambulance, engine, first responder, paramedic unit and fire police. Units were under the direction of Assistant Chiefs Bill Schmitt and Jason Bernfeld, according to PIO Steve Silverman.
