4 Hurt In 4-Car Melville Crash

The crash occurred on Saturday afternoon.

Four people were hurt from a four-car crash that took place in Melville on Saturday afternoon.

According to fire officials, the crash occurred on Bagatelle Road and the South Service Road at 4:40 p.m.

The Melville Fire Department responded to the scene and transported four people with non-life threatening injuries to Huntington Hopsital and Plainview Hospital by the Melville Rescue Squad.

About 25 firefighters and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene with three ambulances, an engine, heavy rescue truck, paramedic unit and fire police.

Units were under the command of Chiefs Chris Nolan, Dave Kaplan, Bill Schmitt and Jason Bernfeld, according to PIO Steve Silverman.
