BMW Driver Seriously Injured In Crash With Box Truck In Melville
The BMW was ripped apart while the box truck overturned in the Wednesday morning crash, fire officials say.
A driver of a BMW sedan suffered serious injuries after colliding with a box truck on Wednesday morning in Melville.
According to fire officials, a BMW sedan and a box truck collided, causing the truck to overturn and the sedan's rear passenger side to rip open, on Pinelawn Road and Ruland Road at around 10:15 a.m.
The driver of the BMW was taken to Nassau University Medical Center by the Melville Rescue Squad to be treated for serious injuries.

The driver of the truck declined transport.
The Melville Fire Department responded to the crash with three ambulances, a heavy rescue truck, a paramedic unit and fire police. Units were under the direction of Assistant Chief David Kaplan.
