Car Fire Spreads To Townhouse In Dix Hills
Firefighters were able to quickly knock down the blaze.
Firefighters battled a fire that spread to a townhouse in Dix Hills on Tuesday morning.
According to fire officials, a vehicle fire extended to the garage of a two-story townhouse at The Gates of Dix Hills, located on Sabrina Court, at about 8:20 a.m.
About 40 firefighters using seven trucks had the blaze under control in about 20 minutes, containing the fire damage to the garage.

Dix Hills firefighters responded to the scene with assistance from Huntington Manor and Melville firefighters.
Ambulance crews from the Huntington Community First Aid Squad and Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps were also on the scene for EMS support. Greenlawn firefighters handled standby coverage. Suffolk Fire-Rescue Coordinators also provided assistance.

Units were under the direction of Chief Tom Napolitano.
The Town of Huntington Fire Marshal and Suffolk Police Arson Squad are investigating the cause of the fire.
