Driver Killed After Pickup Truck Crashes Into Trees On NSP
The crash occurred on Thursday night, fire officials say.
A man was killed after his pickup truck crashed into trees on the Northern State Parkway on Thursday night, fire officials say.
The vehicle was traveling eastbound, east of Wolf Hill Road in Dix Hills, when it left the roadway and crashed into trees at 9:30 p.m. Dix Hills firefighters responded to the scene and removed the driver from the pickup truck.
The Dix Hills Rescue Squad transported the man to Huntington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Dix Hills firefighters responded to the scene with two heavy rescue trucks, two ambulances and a paramedic responder unit. Units were under the direction of Chiefs Tom Napolitano and Joe Williamson, according to PIO Steve Silverman.
