Head-On Dix Hills Crash Injures 2

The crash occurred on Sunday afternoon.

Two vehicles were heavily damaged after they collided head-on in Dix Hills on Sunday afternoon.

According to fire officials, a Toyota sedan and a Dodge pickup truck collided on Wolf Hill Road near Magnolia Lane at about 1:20 p.m.

Both drivers suffered non-life threatening injuries. They were taken to Huntington and Southside hospitals by the Dix Hills Rescue Squad.

About 20 Dix Hills fire/rescue volunteers responded to the scene with three heavy rescue pumpers, two ambulances and a paramedic unit. Units were under the direction of Assistant Chiefs Alan Berkowitz and Joe Williamson. Suffolk County Police were also dispatched to the scene.
