LI Snow Totals So Far, How Much Is Still Coming
Authorities are continuing to urge Long Islanders to stay off the roads unless it's an emergency.

LONG ISLAND, NY — "Near white-out conditions at times with whipping winds blowing snow in every direction."
That's how the National Weather Service described the situation on Long Island Saturday morning as a blizzard pummeled the region. More than a foot of snow has already fallen on many parts of Long Island, especially in Suffolk County, where a blizzard warning is in effect until 7 p.m.
An additional 6-9 inches is likely to accumulate on the East End through the afternoon. Western Suffolk will likely see 5-8 more inches while Nassau County, which is under a winter storm warning, should see 4-7 additional inches.

Wind gusts are topping 60 mph in Suffolk, but power outages have not been an issue so far with PSEG Long Island reporting fewer than 200 as of 11 a.m.
