Man Abandons Dog At Long Island Welcome Center [VIDEO]
The Australian Shepherd was left with no food or water on Tuesday night.
Suffolk County SPCA is looking for information surrounding a dog that was abandoned at the Long Island Welcome Center on Tuesday night.
A man wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and shorts pulled into the Long Island Welcome Center, located at Exit 51 on the Long Island Expressway in Dix Hills, and removed two Australian Shepherd's from his dark-colored SUV, possibly a Chevy Tahoe, at 9:50 p.m.
The man put the dogs, both wearing leashes, into the dog pen on the property. He is then seen on surveillance video retrieving one of the dogs, leaving one male dog abandoned with no food or water, police say.
