Man Accused Of Having Sexual Misconduct With A Dog In Melville

The Farmingdale man also faces animal cruelty charges.

A Long Island man arrested Tuesday is accused of engaging in a sex act with a dog in Melville, the Suffolk County SPCA says.

According to authorities, Vincent Persico, 64, of Farmingdale, was charged with animal cruelty and sexual misconduct with a dog for an incident that occurred on Thursday, Sept. 13.

Authorities tracked Perscio to a Copiague home, where he was placed under arrest. He was released on bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Central Islip on November 27.

Perscio is a Level 2 registered sex offender. He was convicted of sexually abusing three children– ages 1 and 2, in 1998 and sentenced to three months probation.
