Woman Fatally Struck By 2 Cars on Route 110

The crash occurred on Thursday night, police say.

A pedestrian was struck and killed by two cars on Route 110 in Melville on Thursday night, police say.

According to authorities, the woman was crossing Route 110, at the intersection near Livingston Street, when she was struck by a 2016 BMW and a 2000 Nissan at 9:30 p.m. Police say both vehicles were traveling northbound through a green light.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the BMW, 47-year-old Middle Island resident Sharlene Jamison, and the driver of the Nissan, 22-year-old Dix Hills resident Frank Liontos, were not injured.

The crash is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
