$12M Condo May Be Next To Break Harlem Sales Record

The condo industry is booming in Harlem. The neighborhood's sales record was set in Oct. when a penthouse went for $9.5 million.

HARLEM, NY — No residential sales records are safe for long in Harlem. Less than a week after a $9.5 million penthouse became the most expensive single unit sold in the neighborhood, a new penthouse has hit the market asking $12 million.

The record-threatening home is located atop the development at 111 Central Park North and features sweeping views of the park's northern edge including the Lasker Pool and Rink facility, according to real estate listings.

The six-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom home is 5,400 square feet large, which sets the price at $2,203 per square foot, according to real estate listings. The home features three large balconies, a chef's eat-in kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances and a private elevator landing.

The Central Park North development is a "full service, white glove" condiminium offering amenities such as 24-hour doorman and concierge service, a gym, a party room and a private parking space.

The $9.5 million penthouse at Circa Central Park — a new apartment complex located within Frederick Douglass Circle Plaza — closed in October. Harlem's previous sales record was held by another unit in the same development that sold for $7.4 Million.
