19-Story Development Planned For 125th Street In East Harlem
The mixed-use development will contain two floors of retail space and more than 400 apartments.

EAST HARLEM, NY — Developers have filed plans with the city Department of Buildings to construct a huge mixed-use development on 125th Street in East Harlem
The new development will rise on the corner of East 125th Street and Third Avenue, according to building plans. The 19-story building will be 210-feet-tall and contain more than 420 square feet of buildable space, according to the plans.
The first two floors of the new development will house three retail businesses, according to development plans. The three businesses will take up 60,732 square feet of the total development. The third floor of the building will contain 16 apartments, the fourth floor will contain 28 apartments and the fifth through 19th floors will contain 24 apartments for a combined total of 404 apartment units, according to plans filed with the city.

The development will also house a 491-square-foot community facility in the building's cellar. The cellar will also contain tenant amenities, storage and parking for 90 cars and more than 200 bikes, according to building plans.
Residential amenities in the new development include a business center, a fitness room and several outdoor and indoor recreational facilities spread throughout the building, according to development plans.

Richman Capital is listed as the developer on plans filed with the city. The firm S9 Architecture is listed as the new development's designer.
The building site is currently home to a one-story building and an adjacent empty lot.
