31-Year-Old Clings To Life After East Harlem Shooting, Police Say

The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem in critical condition, officials said.

HARLEM, NY — A man is in critical condition after being shot in the stomach and forehead behind a public housing complex in East Harlem on Monday night, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the 31-year-old man was shot at the Lincoln Houses outside of 2120 Madison Ave. around 11:13 p.m.

The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem in critical condition, officials said.

Police did not say what led to the shooting, or if the victim and the perpetrator knew each other.

There have been no arrests yet, and the police are investigating the incident, authorities said.
