HARLEM, NY — Dozens of affordable apartments at a Harlem housing complex have been listed through a city housing lottery, offering rents as low as $1,279.
The 55 apartments are part of Riverton Square, a development on Madison Avenue between East 135th and 138th streets. Listed this week on Housing Connect, they include 30 one-bedroom apartments and 25 two-bedroom units — available to households between one and five people.
They also include three different income bands. Four one-bedroom units offer the cheapest rents, eligible to a single person making up to 60 percent of the area median income — between $43,852 and $50,160 — or a three-person household making up to $64,440.
