BMW Driver Kills Man Crossing Harlem Street, Police Say

HARLEM, NY — A pedestrian was killed in Harlem after being struck in an intersection by a gold BMW, police said.

The 55-year-old victim was hit in the crosswalk of West 112 Street and Lenox Avenue around 4 a.m. Saturday, police said. Officers responding to the collision site found the man lying in the road and suffering from severe body trauma, police said.

EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene of the collision.

The 27-year-old BMW driver stayed on scene and was not charged with a crime, police said. The NYPD investigation into the collision is ongoing.
