Central Harlem Home Sale Sets Neighborhood Record, Report Says
The Lenox Avenue townhouse sold for $4.59 million.

HARLEM, NY — One Lenox Avenue townhouse went from boarded-up windows to Central Harlem's most expensive home in just seven years.
The 1890 Queen Anne-style townhouse at 208 Lenox Ave. — located between West 120th and 121st Streets — has sold for $4.59 million, according to public real estate records. The sales price represents a new record for Central Harlem and makes the home the second priciest Harlem townhouse ever sold, the Wall Street Journal first reported.
Bruce Brittian bought the home in 2010 for just $825, according to public records. At the time of the sale the home was badly damaged, the Wall Street Journal reported. Windows were covered up with boards and bricks and the message "no floors" was scrawled across the front facade in paint, according to the report.

After a seven-year full renovation the townhouse is now a three-family home featuring fully restored original architectural details, Curbed reported. Brittian and his wife, Holly, spearheaded the entire renovation project, according to the report. Holly, an architect, conducted the redesign and listed the home while Bruce, a finance guy, oversaw construction and project management.
