Developer Files Plans For 6-Story Harlem Apartment Building

The new building will be on West 127th Street between Malcolm X Boulevard and Fifth Avenue.

HARLEM, NY — A developer has filed plans with the City Department of Buildings to construct a new 6-story apartment building in Central Harlem, according to city records.

The new residential building will be located on West 127th Street between Malcolm X Boulevard and Fifth Avenue and contain 12 apartments, according to building plans. The building will rise 60-feet-tall and contain 8,553 square feet of buildable space.

An average apartment in the new building will be about 712 square feet large. Building plans currently list few amenities, but do include a rooftop recreation area for tenants.

Developers submitted demolition plans for the site's existing three-story building in October.
