Harlem Dirt-Bike Riders Beat, Rob Family In Broad Daylight: Video

A group of dirt-bike riders chased, beat and robbed a 64-year-old man and his son at a Harlem intersection in broad daylight, police said.

HARLEM, NY — A squad of dirt-bike riders followed and attacked a driver and his son at a Harlem intersection after the man collided with one of them at a nearby street, according to police.

The broad-daylight assault unfolded around 4:25 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of St. Nicholas Terrace and West 127th Street.

Minutes prior, the 64-year-old driver had hit a member of the group when the biker sped through a red light at a nearby intersection. The crew ultimately caught up with the driver a couple of blocks later on West 127th Street.

There, the group surrounded the sedan, opened the doors, and pulled the driver and his 36-year-old son out of the car, according to surveillance video released by police.

Video shows the group repeatedly kicking and punching the victims as they lie on the street — all in plain view of passersby, who proceed along the sidewalk while glancing toward the in-progress attack.
