HARLEM, NY — There's a new record for the most expensive apartment in Harlem.
The five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom penthouse at the Circa Central Park development has sold for $7.4 million, setting the record for square foot value with $2,700 per square foot, Real Estate Weekly reported.
"From direct Central Park access to thoughtful luxury amenities like electric car charging stations, Circa is primly positioned to meet the needs of savvy buyers," developer Shlomi Reuveni told Real Estate Weekly.

Translation: in this case "savvy" means filthy rich.
Compared to that regular units at the 285 W. 110th St. condo complex are a steal. The cheapest three-bedroom condo in the building goes for just over $3 million, according to the development's website.

The building also contains 10 affordable-rate condos, likely for the included tax abatements.
Pricing on the "affordable," units starts around $225,000 for a studio, according to the New York City Housing Partnership. For one-bedroom apartments the rates rise to the about $275,000 and for two-bedrooms the rates rise to nearly $365,000. The deadline to apply for the building's affordable units was in July.
The building will rise 11 stories and contain 48 units. Amenities include a 24-hour doorman, a state-of-the-art gym, a study room equipped with Mac computers, a roof terrace, a bike share program and something called a "tween room."
The building was designed by architecture firm FXFOWLE.
