Harlem Shooting Leaves One Injured; Gunman Sought, Police Say

An assailant is on the loose after shooting someone in the leg on a Harlem street late Wednesday, police said.

HARLEM, NY — A person was shot and wounded on a Harlem street Wednesday by a gunman who has yet to be caught, police said.

Shots rang out about 10:30 p.m. on West 150th Street just east of Frederick Douglass Boulevard, according to police.

The victim was shot once in the right thigh, police said. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Police have not announced any arrests and had no description of a possible suspect.
