Harlem Week Returns With Food, Music, Movies & More
The annual festival returns this week with a packed slate of events. Here's what to know about Harlem Week 2021.

HARLEM, NY — After being forced to go virtual for the first time last year, Harlem Week is making a grand return this summer with a packed schedule of food, music, movie screenings and much more.
The annual event kicks off on Friday, Aug. 6, and runs through Aug. 15. Some events will remain virtual, a nod to those who still wish to avoid in-person programming.
Harlem Week began in 1974 as a single-day event designed to boost spirits in the neighborhood. In the ensuing 47 years, it has grown into an "international festival" lasting more than a week, organizers said.
