Just Salad Opens Harlem Location In Uptown First; $5 Salads On Offer
Uptown's first fast-casual salad spot is here, with a new Just Salad eatery on West 125th Street. Here's how to score a $5 meal this week.

HARLEM, NY — Harlemites looking for a healthy lunch or dinner spot have a new option in the neighborhood: Just Salad, the fast-casual chain, has opened its first location uptown.
The store opened at the end of April at 56 West 125th St., on the ground floor of a new building between Fifth Avenue and Malcolm X Boulevard.
Part of the company's "rapid U.S. expansion," it is Just Salad's first location in Northern Manhattan and the first fast-casual salad spot of any kind in Harlem, according to a news release from the company.

As an extra enticement, the company is offering discounted, $5 meals to any customer who orders in-store between Thursday and Saturday, May 21. Customers who purchase a $1 reusable bowl will also get $5 meals if they stop in on Wednesdays during the next two weeks.

"We are excited to bring our mission of everyday health and everyday sustainability to Harlem residents," said Nick Kenner, Just Salad's founder and CEO, in a statement. "As an NYC-founded brand, we’re extremely proud to be the first fast-casual salad chain to serve the Harlem community and look forward to being a part of this neighborhood for decades to come."

The menu includes more than 15 types of salad, as well as wraps, warm bowls, avocado toast, soups and smoothies.
It has also linked up with the food surplus app Too Good To Go, allowing people to purchase discounted meals that would otherwise have been thrown away each night.

The 125th Street location is open Monday-Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and weekends from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The new 17-story building at 56-62 West 125th St. is also home to the latest location of Harlem Cycle, the popular fitness studio that opened up there last month.
