Lottery For 5 Affordable Harlem Apartments Opens

The one- and two-bedroom units are renting for $950 and $1,050 per month.

HARLEM, NY — A lottery for 5 below-market apartments in a new Harlem building is now accepting applications. The new development, located at West 134th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue, is renting one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments.

The five apartments are being rented to individuals and families earning 60 percent of the annual median income. An individual or family must earn at least $32,572 per year to rent a one-bedroom unit and $36,000 per year to rent a two-bedroom unit.

Of the five apartments in the lottery, four are one-bedroom unit and only one is a two-bedroom unit, according to the city's Housing Connect website. The one-bedroom apartments are renting for $950 per month and the two-bedroom apartment is renting for $1,050 per month.

Building amenities include a roof deck for tenants and a washer and dryer in each unit.
