Man Arrested For Harlem Sex Assault, Police Say
The man is accused of following a woman into her apartment building's elevator and groping her.

HARLEM, NY — A man who followed a woman into her Harlem apartment building and groped her inside an elevator has been arrested, police said.
Yakim Daniels, 41, is facing charges of robbery, burglary, sex abuse and criminal possession of a weapon after being taken into custody Thursday, police said. Daniels was wanted for a June 17 sexual assault inside an apartment building on Seventh Avenue and West 138 Street, police said.
The man is accused of following a 28-year-old resident of the building into an elevator and then grabbing her butt as she walked off the elevator into her hallway, police said. Daniels followed her into the hallway and attempted to grope her again, but the woman was able to fight him off, police said.

The woman was not physically injured during the attack, police said.
