Man Attacks Woman With Razor And Pushes Her Onto Train Tracks, DA Says
The victim was attacked in front of her two teenage daughters.
HARLEM, NY — A man has been accused of slashing his ex-girlfriend with a razor blade and pushing her onto the train tracks in Harlem in front of her teenage daughters, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said.
Bragg, who announced the indictment on Thursday, said that the defendant, 29-year-old Michael Blount, was charged with attempted murder in the second degree, among other related charges.
According to Bragg, on Nov. 5, 2024, a man approached a woman and her daughters in a Harlem deli, after repeatedly calling her.

The victim did not engage with the man and left the deli with her daughters, at which point the man followed her into the subway station, where she was waiting for the A train, Bragg said.
Then, the man went back above ground, purchased a single razor blade, and returned to the subway station and attacked the woman, attempting to slash her neck, Bragg said.

The victim fought back and prevented the man from slashing her neck, but was slashed multiple times in the face, Bragg said.
Then, the man pushed her onto the train tracks with both hands before running away, Bragg said.
One of the victim's daughters helped the woman off the train tracks just two minutes before the next train entered the station, and a bystander called the family a car to take them to a hospital, Bragg said.
“As alleged, Michael Blount brutally slashed his ex-girlfriend before pushing her onto the train tracks in front of her teenage daughters,” Bragg said. “Despite what must have been a terrifying attack, one of her daughters was able to pull her mother from the tracks, likely saving her life."
The suspect was arrested on Dec. 28, after calling, texting and harassing the victim for several weeks, Bragg said.
