HARLEM, NY — A man pummeled another man with a brick on a Harlem street last week after a confrontation about package thefts, according to police.
The broad-daylight assault unfolded around 3 p.m. Thursday near the corner of West 132nd Street and Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. Boulevard.
The 60-year-old victim, who lives nearby, had confronted a woman in his building's lobby who he believed had been stealing packages, the New York Post first reported. Soon after, the woman returned with two other people, including a man who ran up to the victim from behind and smacked him in the head with the brick.
