HARLEM, NY — A man was stabbed to death inside his Harlem apartment on Sunday afternoon, according to police.

The fatal stabbing happened inside a building on W. 147th St. near Frederick Douglass Blvd., cops said.

Police responded to an emergency call reporting the stabbing about 3:40 p.m. Sunday and arrived to find the 47-year-old victim inside an apartment with multiple stab wounds.

Medics rushed the unconscious man to Harlem Hospital, where doctors pronounced him deceased, officials said.

The victim was identified as Alejandro Santos by police on Monday morning.

An NYPD spokesperson confirmed that a person of interest has been apprehended and is currently undergoing questioning, though they have not yet been charged.

The investigation remains ongoing, police said, but no other details were available as of Monday morning.
