Body Rolled In Red Carpet Found On Harlem Street, Police Say

A passerby saw the man's feet sticking out of the rug and called police.

HARLEM, NY — A man's body was found rolled up in a red carpet with his feet sticking out in Harlem Thursday morning, police said.

A passerby saw the man's feet sticking out of the rug while walking near West 145th Street between Bradhurst Avenue and Frederick Douglass Boulevard about 5:50 a.m., said police.

Emergency responders pronounced the man dead and the official cause of his death will be determined by the city's medical examiner, according to the NYPD.
