New 8-Story Apartment Building Coming To E. Harlem Block

EAST HARLEM, NY — Developers have filed plans to build a new eight-story apartment building in East Harlem, according to city Department of Buildings records.

The new development will rise 80-feet-tall at 168 E. 111th St., located between Third and Lexington avenues, and contain 42 apartment units, according to building plans. Plans to demolish the existing row house on the site have not yet been filed.

With 29,262 square feet of space zoned for residential use, the average unit in the building will be about 696 square feet, according to building plans. Residential amenities at the new development will include storage rooms an exercise room and bike storage.

The developer of the new building is an entity called KJ East III Realty LLC and the architect is listed as Chi F. Lau Architect.
